Exceptional end of year for BIHT in Bhutan

The Bongde Institute of Hospitality and Tourism keeps attracting many local and international guests. We are getting every year new agents booking to our hotel and restaurant. Some tour operators even recommend us to others. Our reputation is blooming firstly from Tripadvisor, secondly from Lonely Planet and thirdly from friends and ttravel agent.

After the high season, the students really deserved a school trip to Punakha in the center of Bhutan to visit hotels and enjoy rafting. The fourth batch is currently finishing the second semester and will pass exam in January. Admissions are open for the fifth batch which will start early 2018. Thanks to EHLsmile and individual donors we will be able to offer six scholarships for the most disadvantaged ones.

This year, many of our graduates have already a job or an internship secured. Six Senses, which is opening 5 properties in Bhutan, agreed to support our social initiative through a partnership. They will offer job and internship opportunities every year to some of our graduates.

2017 has been an incredible year for the hotel and the school. We are looking forward to 2018.
